YAPSCU allows you to scan a series of images quickly and accurately. Scanning is performed in the background, allowing you to adjust each image (changing the crop size, modifying the rotation, filename to save as, colour, brightness etc) whilst you continue scanning further images. YAPSCU provides built-in colour correction data for some of the most popular film types, but more importantly allows you to create your own colour correction data which can be saved and re-used in the future. YAPSCU uses some sophisticated algorithms for calculating the correct brightness and contrast of a scene. Coupled with the automatic colour correction described above, this means that using the default settings usually gives a near perfect image. YAPSCU also provides a number of powerful tools to allow changes to be made quickly and easily in those instances when additional adjustments are required, largely obviating the need to use other image processing software to get that perfect image, and therefore greatly speeding the process of scanning large number of negatives. YAPSCU runs under Windows 95/98/ME or Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000. Click here to see a list of supported scanners. A demonstration version of YAPSCU can be downloaded here - the demo version is fully functional, except that it places a ‘watermark’ (series of multi-coloured dots) on any saved images. To save images without the watermark you must register YAPSCU |
